Captiva Yearly Weather

The climate in Captiva varies throughout the year, so we've described the typical environment you can expect for specific months.

December, January, February

The excellent winter climate attracts many travelers to Captiva. Although there is a slight drop in the temperature, Captiva enjoys a superb amount of sunshine, and there is usually little rain in these months. This is the time of year to travel if you want to escape from the snow and ice of a cold winter; in no time, you could relax on the beach in the sunshine.

The daytime average high is 72F, and Evening is 55F.

The high season on Captiva starts around the third week of December.

March, April

These are some of the most popular months of the year for visitors, many from the Northern States of the USA and Canada.

There is very little rain, and the humidity is low.

The daytime average high is 75/80F, and the evening average is 67F.

May

During one of the quieter months on Captiva, getting around the island and into restaurants is easy. 

The latter part of the month starts getting hotter temperatures, rising to 86F.

June, July, August

This is becoming a busier time of year; the sea breezes cool the excellent sultry temperatures.

During these months, you may experience late afternoon showers. Which blow over quickly and leave the air lovely and cool !!!!!!!!!!

There is a beautiful fireworks show over the water on July 4th.

Daytime average high 90F and Evening 75F.

September, October

These are another two months where you will find Captiva uncrowded and beautiful.

The weather in late October starts to drop to below 80F

Daytime average high 87F and Evening 70F.

November

Thanksgiving weekend is busy, but otherwise, this is a beautiful month for exploring and enjoying temperatures around 77F.
