Captiva Yearly Weather
The climate in Captiva varys through the year, so we've written a description of the typical climate you can expect for certain months.
December, January, February
The wonderful winter climate attracts many travellers to Captiva. Although there is a slight drop in the temperature Captiva enjoys an excellent amount of sunshine, and there is usually little rain in these months. This is the time of year to travel if you want to escape from the snow and ice of a British winter, in no time at all you could be relaxing on the beach in the sunshine.
Daytime average high 72F and Evening 55F.
High season on Captiva starts around the third week of December.
These months are some of the most popular months of the year for visitors, many from the Northern States of the USA and Canada.
There is very little rain and the humidity is low.
This is a wonderful time, to escape the rain and cold of England. Enjoying the balmy weather, relaxing on the tropical beaches of Captiva.
Daytime average high 75/80F and Evening 67F.
One of the quieter months on Captiva, it is easy to get around the island and get into restaurants. For this reason it is also one of the best months for us Brits to visit Captiva during Whitsun or half term.
The latter part of the month starts getting hotter temperatures rising to 86F.
June, July, August
This is becoming a busier time of year; the wonderful sultry temperatures are cooled by the sea breezes.
During these months you may experience late afternoon showers. Which blow over quickly and leave the air lovely and cool !!!!!!!!!!
There is a wonderful firework show over the water for July 4th.
Daytime average high 90F and Evening 75F.
These are another 2 months where you will find Captiva uncrowded, and beautiful.
The weather late October starts to drop, to below 80F
Daytime average high 87F and Evening 70F.
Thanksgiving weekend is busy, but otherwise this is a wonderful month for exploring and enjoying the temperatures of around 77F.
